They’re men’s size 9, gray mesh with a black swoosh, and a faint salt-water smell from the walk along the seawall. A blue star sticker sits on the outside heel of the right shoe, and the left lace tip is frayed with blue thread. They’re in decent condition overall, just a bit muddy from the waterfront.
