Cockatiel with yellow head, blue leg band found near Lowell
I found a cockatiel this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. It's about the size of a paperback and has a striking yellow head with orange cheek patches and a gray body. The feathers look healthy and glossy, and there's a tiny white patch on its left wing. A blue plastic leg band on its right leg bears the numbers AZ-24. It seemed calm and friendly, hopping onto my finger for a moment. I can't imagine this bird has a home to someone missing itβif you think this might be yours, reach out and we can figure out a safe meetup.
Found a friendly green parakeet fluttering around a porch in the Oak Creek area.
I found this lovely green parakeet fluttering around my porch in the Oak Creek area. It seems to be very friendly and healthy, and I've been feeding it bird seed ever since. If this is your bird, please let me know the name and any distinct markings to verify ownership.
