Cockatiel with yellow head found in Danville
I found a cockatiel this afternoon around 2:15pm outside the Riverside Bakery on Main Street in Danville. It’s about 12 inches tall from head to tail, mostly gray with a bright yellow crest and orange cheeks. It’s wearing a small blue leg band on the right leg and has a slightly clipped wing from a past tumble, which makes it look a bit shy when I get close. It perched on a lamppost for a minute, then hopped onto the bench and seemed eager to chirp at passing people. I didn’t see a cage or an owner nearby, but I’d love to help get this bird back to its person; if anyone recognizes it, please reach out so we can reunite them.
Gray and white dwarf hamster with blue harness
I found a tiny hamster this afternoon around 3:45pm outside the Danville Library on Main Street, near the coffee kiosk by the plaza. It’s a gray-and-white dwarf hamster, about 3 inches long, wearing a bright blue harness and a tiny silver bell. The fur is fluffy but a bit dusty from the park, and there’s a distinctive white patch on its left ear that makes it easy to spot. It seemed healthy and curious, darting around in a small plastic travel cage I’m carrying as I search around West Main Street shops. I know losing a pet like this would be really stressful, so I’m hoping to reunite it with its owner soon.
Leopard gecko spotted near Danville Library
Found this leopard gecko this afternoon around 3:15pm outside the Danville Public Library on Front Street. It's about 4 inches from snout to tail, tan with dark brown spots and a pinkish tail tip. It also has a tiny blue marker dot near its left hip and a subtle V-shaped pattern along its back—pretty distinctive if you know geckos. It looked a bit chilly and seemed anxious, probably a pet that slipped its enclosure. If this is yours, message me and we can figure out a safe way to reunite you with your little guy.
Blue reflective dog harness with lime-green trim
I lost my blue reflective dog harness yesterday around 3pm near the Danville Library on Main Street. It's a medium nylon harness, blue with a bright lime-green reflective stripe, and it has a quick-release buckle. On the strap there’s a small orange tag with my dog's initials 'M.S.' and a tiny white paw-print stitch near the buckle. It was a gift from our trainer and has sentimental value; I really need it back so I can keep walking my pup. I found a small brown dog running around the park near Main Street in Danville early this morning. She's very friendly and seems to have been well-cared for, but I couldn't find any tags on her collar. If you're missing your dog, please reach out to me so we can reunite you two!
