This morning at 9:15 a.m., I realized my appliances were missing from the kitchen of my Columbia apartment, just off Gervais Street near Riverfront Park. A white toaster, a compact blender, and a coffee maker were all there yesterday; this morning they’re gone. The apartment feels quieter without them, and I miss the little morning rituals they made possible. They belonged to my mom and helped keep us fed and caffeinated through long days at home. If someone found them, please leave them somewhere safe and nearby, maybe near the entrance by Riverfront Park so I can spot them quickly.

I lost my two portable radios after volunteering at a local charity event in Five Points, Columbia, around 7:42 p.m. on Friday. They were in a small black nylon case inside my messenger bag. I had set the bag on a chair at the corner cafe by the South Carolina State Museum while I grabbed a coat, and by the time I returned the chair and bag were gone.
