Lost Holiday Decorations near Phoenicia, Catskills
I lost my holiday decorations after hosting a small family gathering in a rustic cabin on Main Street in Phoenicia, NY, around 7:30 PM on December 18. A silver garland with pinecone accents and a glittery red-and-green banner toppled from the mantle and rolled behind the sofa by the fireplace. I retraced every corner, the fireplace glow catching on tinsel as the clock ticked and the snow began to fall outside the window. If they wandered off, I’d like to think they slipped somewhere safe along the quiet roads of the Catskills, perhaps near the Esopus Creek trailhead or the old stone bridge by the post office.

I lost my blue North Face ski jacket this afternoon around 3:20pm near the trailhead cafe at Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills. It's a men's size L, bright cobalt blue with a white stripe along the left sleeve and a tiny red snowflake pin on the zipper pull. The inner lining is gray fleece and there’s a small fray at the left cuff. Inside the left pocket there’s a folded photo of my grandma, which makes it sentimental—she gave me this jacket, and I really need it back.
