Lost Xylophones in Broward County
I was strolling out of Sawgrass Mills around 7:20 p.m. last Friday when I realized my xylophones were gone from the back seat of my car. They’re a compact wooden set in a bright red carrying case with a few stickers peeling on the handle. I remember parking near the AMC theater and chatting with a friend, then walking toward the parking structure and turning back to grab a jacket. My heart sank—those xylophones were a link to my late grandmother, the sound I use to fall asleep to and practice after sunset. If someone found them, I’d be grateful to hear they’re safe.
Lost Sheet Music in Broward County
I lost sheet music from my jazz ensemble around 6:15 PM on Tuesday near Fort Lauderdale along Las Olas Boulevard. It’s a black binder with a few weathered pages, initials J.S. on the cover, and a pencil sketch of a treble clef smudged in the corner. The binder slipped from my bag as I hurried to grab a bus, and I watched it vanish into the sea of pedestrians. Those pages include a tune I wrote for my grandmother, and losing them feels like losing a piece of my family’s memory.
Sunburst violin in case found near Sunrise Blvd
I found a full-size violin in a sunburst Stentor case this afternoon around 3:15pm outside the CVS on Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. The instrument looks like a student-grade violin—there are a few scratches on the back and a tiny nick near the chin rest, but it still looks playable. Inside the lid there’s a faded paper label with the name 'A. Rivera' written in blue ink, and the lining is bright red. It feels sentimental and deserves to go back to its owner, especially if it was a gift or something someone saved up for. If this is yours, I’d be glad to help arrange a meetup in Broward County to return it.
