I found a small leopard gecko this afternoon around 2:15 pm along the Boise River Greenbelt by Julia Davis Park. It's about 4 inches from head to tail, yellowish with orange spots and a slightly darker stripe along the back. Its toes look a little dusty from the riverbank, and there's a tiny blue speck on its left hind leg plus a small black dot near the base of the tail—two easy telltales if this is yours. It seemed calm but a bit spooked, like it had been wandering for a while, and I figured someone might be missing it after today's rain. I lost my gray and white terrier mix yesterday around 3pm near the Boise River Greenbelt entrance off West Washington Street, just by Julia Davis Park. He's about 20 pounds, wears a bright red nylon collar with a silver tag that says 'Scout', and has a small white stripe on his chest and a tiny scar behind his left ear. He's shy with strangers but incredibly friendly once he warms up, and he responds to 'Scout' when I whistle. This dog is family—he was a gift from my sister and has sentimental value—so please, if anyone finds him, text me and I will be there as soon as I can.
