I realized my USB drives were missing around 6:45 PM on Tuesday, after a quick volunteer shift at the Battle Creek Public Library on North Edwards Street. They were in a backpack pocket, and I must have left them in a back room near the desk after my meeting. The drives hold a handful of project drafts and a folder of family photos—nothing top secret, but priceless to me. I’ve checked the car and the bus stops along the Market District, and I walked back to the library twice, but they’re still gone. If you found them, please keep an eye out for a mismatched set of small black cases.
Blue hardcover mystery novel with dog-eared pages
I lost my blue hardcover mystery novel yesterday around 3pm near the Lakeview Square Mall on Michigan Ave in Battle Creek. It's a 2019 edition of 'The Silent Strand' by L. Carter, about 350 pages, with a light coffee stain on the back cover and a folded map tucked inside the front pocket. The book was in a black tote bag with a small yellow sun embroidered on the corner. It has sentimental value - it was a gift from my aunt who loved this author. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate being reunited with it.
