Found yellow cockatiel with orange cheeks
Found a bright yellow cockatiel with orange cheek patches this afternoon around 4:15pm near the Rabobank Arena on Truxtun Ave in Bakersfield. It seems healthy, chirping softly, and perched on my fence for a while before hopping onto a nearby branch. It has a small silver leg band with the digits 07-89. I’m keeping it on my porch for now in case its owner shows up; if you’re missing a bird that matches, reach out and we’ll figure a meetup. It’s a relief to help grab a friendly little guy off the street.
Lost yellow-faced cockatiel near Bakersfield River Walk
I lost my yellow-faced cockatiel Mango yesterday around 3pm near the downtown Bakersfield Public Library on Truxtun Ave. He’s a small gray-bodied bird with a bright yellow crest and orange cheek patches, about 12 inches from beak to tail. He has a tiny blue feather at the tip of his left wing and a faint nick on his upper beak. He also wears a small silver leg band with the numbers 482-LT. This bird is more than a pet to me—he’s my daughter's buddy and a reminder of good times; I really need him back. If someone spots him, please call or text me; I’ll be grateful beyond words.
Found bright green and yellow parakeet perched on a fence near Olive Drive.
I found a bright green and yellow parakeet perched on my fence this morning while having coffee in my backyard near Olive Drive. It didn't seem scared but was chirping a lot, as if it was looking for something or someone. I have some bird seed if that's helpful, and I’m hoping to reunite it with its owner as soon as possible!
