Lost violin in natural finish near Driskill Hotel
Hey, I lost my violin yesterday around 3pm in downtown Austin, near the Driskill Hotel on 6th Street and Congress Ave. It's a full-size violin with a natural wood finish, a few tiny scratches along the lower bout, and a small dent near the chin rest. The case is a brown leather-bound hard case with red felt lining, a faded sticker on the lid with the initials 'A.B.' and a little heart doodle at the corner. Inside I kept rosin and a folded metronome card, and this violin has sentimental value—it belonged to my grandfather and I really need it back.
Yamaha 3/4 violin with heart sticker
I lost my Yamaha 3/4 violin last Friday around 3:30pm. It was in a black hard case with a red velvet interior, and there's a bright red heart sticker on the outside zipper pull. The violin itself is a sunburst finish with a couple of light scratches along the back and a slightly worn ebony chin rest. I had been walking along Guadalupe Street by the UT Student Union after a quick rehearsal, and I must have set it down somewhere between the shops and the corner of 21st Street. This violin is really meaningful to me—it's been my practice instrument since freshman year and holds a lot of memories. If someone found it, I’d be incredibly grateful to get it back; I can meet near the UT campus for verification or arrange a safe drop-off.
Lost vintage wooden violin with initials 'J.D.' etched inside, left at Zilker Park.
I was at Zilker Park practicing my violin when I took a break and must have left it on the grass. It’s a vintage wooden violin with a few scratches on the body and has my initials, 'J.D.', etched on the inside. I've had it for years, and it means a lot to me. If anyone finds it, please reach out!
