Lost Train near Georgia Theatre, downtown Athens.
I was walking back to my apartment after a late shift around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday when I realized my Train was missing from my backpack. It's a small wooden model with red wheels and a brass bell—the kind my grandfather gave me when I moved to Athens for college. I last saw it near the Georgia Theatre on Clayton Street, just outside the bookstore under a streetlight. This tiny toy carries a lot of memories, and the thought of it sitting somewhere forgotten hurts. I’m hoping it turns up safe, waiting for someone to return it to the campus lost-and-found.
Found travel visas near the UGA Arch
I found a brown leather folder with travel visas peeking out on a bench outside the UGA Arch on Lumpkin Street, around 7:15 p.m. on Friday. A few stamps and a name were visible, folded papers wedged between receipts. I tucked the folder under my arm and headed to the campus lost-and-found, hoping the owner would see this post. It felt unexpectedly hopeful to reunite someone with such important documents after a long week of lectures and coffee spills. If these items sound familiar, please check with the campus lost-and-found desk near the student center.
Athens Tech ID card on blue lanyard
I lost my Athens Tech University ID card yesterday around 3pm. It’s a slim blue plastic card with my photo on the left and my name, Elena Papadopoulos, at the bottom. The lanyard is bright blue with the Athens Tech logo, and there are two identifying marks: a tiny coffee ring on the back edge and a small star sticker near the lower corner. I think it slipped from my pocket while I was walking from the Acropolis Museum entrance along Dionysiou Areopagitou toward Syntagma in Athens. I really need it back for campus access and it feels sentimental. If found, please drop it at the central Lost & Found desk in Syntagma Square or contact me at [email protected].
