Three small clutches—black velvet, red satin, and metallic gold—slipped from my tote as I stepped out of a cafe near the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center around 7:15 pm Friday. I retraced the snowy sidewalk along 4th Avenue, under the museum's glass atrium, but the wind had swallowed them. These clutches hold more than money: a cherished photo of my grandmother and a small lipstick, and I feel panicked and foolish for misplacing them. I found a black leather briefcase while visiting the Loussac Library yesterday afternoon. It looks expensive and has some documents inside that might help identify the owner.
