Flutes lost near Mishler Theatre, Altoona

I was wrapping up rehearsal at the Mishler Theatre in downtown Altoona around 6:15 p.m. last Tuesday and must have left my two flutes in a black hard case on a bench near the main entrance. They’re silver with a tiny scratch on the lip of one flute. I circled back but the area was cleared and the case was gone. These instruments matter—I teach music lessons after school, and I'm eager to have them back so the kids can perform.

Violins lost downtown Altoona after rehearsal.

I was wrapping up a rehearsal at the Mishler Theatre around 7:45 pm on Saturday when I realized my two violins were missing from the back seat of my car. I paced along 6th Avenue, Chestnut Street, and downtown Penn Street, hoping they were just tucked somewhere, but there was no sign. The cases are dark wood with brass latches; one violin has a small crack near the scroll. The thought of someone finding them and not knowing how important they are makes this feel personal. I’m keeping my fingers crossed they’re safely set aside near a café or the theatre desk.

Lost: Sheet Music after Mishler Theatre rehearsal

I’m missing a blue-covered sheet music folder after rehearsal at Mishler Theatre in downtown Altoona around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. I left it on a chair backstage near the stage door and didn’t realize it was missing until I came back to grab my coat. The folder contains arrangements for our community choir with some pencil annotations that mean a lot to me; it’s not replaceable. I’m hopeful someone who was backstage that evening might have picked it up and left it somewhere safe.

Blue Pearl snare drum with chrome hardware

I found a blue Pearl snare drum this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind the Blair County Convention Center on Convention Center Drive in Altoona. It's a 14x6.5 inch shell with a sparkly blue finish and chrome hardware. There’s a small dent on the rim and a white sticker that says 'Drummer Dad' on the shell. The drum head looks used but sturdy, and it smells faintly like a rehearsal space. If this belongs to you, I’d really like to help get it back to its owner.
