I found a gray tabby cat this afternoon around 2:15pm near the Empire State Plaza, right by the State Street entrance in Albany. It’s a medium-sized cat with a bright orange collar and a small silver tag shaped like a fish. The cat has a distinctive white patch on its chest that looks almost heart-shaped and a tiny notch in the left ear. It seemed friendly and purring when I approached, so I brought it to a safe spot and wanted to help reunite it with its owner; it might have a slight limp in the right hind leg. If this is your cat, please describe any distinguishing traits and I can bring it to a local vet to scan for a microchip.
Brindle mixed-breed terrier, 25 lbs, Milo, missing
I lost my brindle mixed-breed terrier, Milo, yesterday around 3pm. He's about 25 pounds, with a short brindle coat and a white chest patch, and he wears a red nylon collar with a brass name tag that reads Milo. We were near the State Capitol on State Street by the Empire State Plaza when he bolted toward Lark Street and disappeared toward Washington Park. He’s microchipped, so a vet or shelter could scan him. Milo is incredibly friendly once he meets you, but he’s nervous around strangers. This dog is a rescue and means the world to me—really need him back.
