Found orange tabby with blue collar in Abilene
I found a medium-sized orange tabby this afternoon around 2:15pm outside the Mall of Abilene on Buffalo Gap Road. It wears a bright blue collar with a tiny silver bell, and there’s a small white patch on its chest and white paws. It looks well taken care of but a bit cautious, especially around strangers, and it meowed softly when I approached before skittling under a parked car. I can tell it’s someone's pet—the way it nudged my hand and kept glancing toward the parking lot. If you recognize this cat or know who it belongs to, reach out here and I’ll help reunite you.
Emerald-green parakeet with blue tail
I lost my emerald-green parakeet yesterday around 3pm near the Abilene Public Library on Cedar Street. It's a small budgie, about 7 inches from beak to tail, mostly bright green with a yellow chest and a hint of blue on the tail. It has a tiny white leg ring on its right leg and a slightly misaligned right wing feather from a rough flutter last week. It answers to the name 'Kiwi' and loved perching on my shoulder, nibbling sunflower seeds. This bird means a lot to our family, especially my 8-year-old daughter, and it's really hard not knowing where it is.
