Today around 2:30 p.m., I realized my GPS devices were missing from my backpack after a quick coffee break near Old Salem. I retraced my steps along Liberty Street and around the Benton Convention Center area, hoping they hadn’t slipped into a passerby’s bag or onto a vendor table. Those little units are my lifeline for getting around this week, and losing them left me feeling anxious and a little embarrassed. I’m holding out hope someone nearby turned them in and kept them safe.
