I found a brown leather tote bag on the sidewalk near Market Street in downtown Wilmington. It looks like it was likely dropped accidentally as it was just sitting there, and I didn’t see anyone around who seemed to be looking for it. The bag has some books and a black wallet inside. There's no ID in the wallet, but I would love to return it to its owner, so please reach out if you think it’s yours!
lost: two silver brooches with pearls
I was walking along the Wilmington Riverwalk by the Cape Fear River on Saturday around 4:15 p.m. I had tucked two small silver brooches with pearl centers into a velvet-lined tin in my tote, and I realized they were missing after I paused to snap a photo by the Bellamy Mansion. They’re about 1.25 inches across, with a delicate leaf motif that catches the light when the sun hits them. I’ve never lost something so sentimental, and my heart sank thinking they might be out there on a bench or in someone’s bag. If you found them, I’d be eternally grateful to get them back through the site.
