Found dog near Marathon Park, Wausau
I found a dog this afternoon around 3:20 pm wandering near Marathon Park along the river trail in Wausau. He’s a medium-sized mixed breed, about 45 pounds, with a tan-and-white coat and a distinctive black patch over his left eye. He wears a bright blue nylon collar with a small round tag from a local vet. One ear sticks up while the other flops, and he has a friendly, wiggly temperament; he came right to me when I called him “boy.” I checked for a phone number on the tag but didn’t see one. Yesterday at 4:20 p.m., I realized I lost my Scarves after a chilly stroll through downtown Wausau. They slipped from my shoulders when I paused to check my phone near the Grand Avenue Bridge by the Wisconsin River, and I must have dropped them along the riverwalk. I've worn them every day this winter—the cream-colored scarf carried a grandmother's memory, and the navy one is my go-to for busy days.
