Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Wausau in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost: Suits in downtown Wausau near Wausau Center

I lost my suits this morning around 9:15 a.m. in the Wausau Center atrium after I paused to tie my shoes between meetings. They were folded neatly on the chair by the seating area, a charcoal three-piece set with two jackets and several dress shirts tucked into a grey garment bag. I stepped out for a quick coffee at a kiosk near the food court, and when I returned they were gone. I’m anxious about the upcoming interviews next week and hope whoever found them will remember where they were left.

lost Scarves in downtown Wausau

Yesterday at 4:20 p.m., I realized I lost my Scarves after a chilly stroll through downtown Wausau. They slipped from my shoulders when I paused to check my phone near the Grand Avenue Bridge by the Wisconsin River, and I must have dropped them along the riverwalk. I've worn them every day this winter—the cream-colored scarf carried a grandmother's memory, and the navy one is my go-to for busy days. If you found them by Riverside Park or along the riverwalk close to the bridge, I’d be grateful for any help.

Lost carry-ons near Grand Ave, Wausau

I left my two carry-ons by Grand Avenue in downtown Wausau around 2:30 PM this afternoon. They’re black rolling suitcases, one with a small dent on the handle and a tag with my initials. I’d been at Marathon Park earlier and checked into a hotel along Grand Ave, so I’m hoping they were just left behind somewhere in the downtown area. Losing them is nerve-wracking with an upcoming trip, and I’m eager to get them back.

Lost Wild and Domestic in downtown Wausau

Hi, I'm Avery Cole. I lost my Wild and Domestic on Tuesday around 5:45 PM near Riverside Park's gazebo by the Wisconsin River. I had just left the park after a walk and coffee without packing it back, and I realized it wasn’t in my tote. It’s a small paperback with a green cover and a sticker peeling on the back. My heart sank; I retraced steps along the riverwalk and called out the title to the joggers passing by the old train bridge. I must have dropped it on the cement path near the Riverside Park entrance around 5:30–5:45. If you found it, it would mean the world to me to have it back.

Lost document holders near Marathon County Library.

I realized I left two document holders on Wednesday around 11:45 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library, Main Branch, near the reference desk. One holder is black leather with a red strap; the other is a simple gray portfolio. They contain important documents for my job and travel, so I’ve been anxious about them. I turned them in at the library's lost-and-found, hoping the owner sees this post and claims them. If you’ve seen these and can help, please check the site for details.

Lost bus tickets in downtown Wausau

Last Friday around 5:45 p.m., I was at the bus stop on Grand Avenue, near Third Street in downtown Wausau. I had folded two bus tickets into a small tan sleeve and must have slipped them out of my pocket while I was juggling a coffee and a receipt. The tickets are for a morning shuttle, and I’m terrified I’ll miss my trip if they don’t surface. They’re important to me because of an upcoming family visit, and I’m anxious about scrambling to replace them. If they’re found, I’d be incredibly grateful to have them back so I can make my plans work.
