Black tortoiseshell glasses with gold hinges

Found a pair of glasses this morning around 9:15am on Government Street, right outside the Empress Hotel in downtown Victoria. They’re dark tortoiseshell frames, rectangular shape, with shiny gold hinges and clear prescription lenses. There’s a tiny chip at the bottom edge of the left lens and a faint engraving on the inside of the right temple that looks like 'Nova'—visible only up close. The glasses look well cared for, no case with them, and the arms have a few light scratches from a day in the sun.
