Last Friday around 6:25 PM I was loading last-minute garlands and a fragile star ornament into my car in the Presque Isle Park parking lot. By the time I got home, the box had vanished from the back seat. The set includes garlands, a string of battery-operated lights, and a porcelain snowflake ornament wrapped in a red-and-green tote. They’re sentimental—the ornaments belonged to my grandmother and remind me of holidays up here in the Upper Peninsula.
