I was walking from the Kansas State Capitol on 10th Street today around 2:15 p.m. when I spotted a plastic bag full of trading cards left on a park bench by the Capitol lawn. The cards spilled onto the concrete, some faded, others bright with color, and a few sported old team stickers. I picked them up, looked for a name, and scanned the area for anyone who looked worried, but no one claimed them. It felt right to post them here, in case the owner sees this and recognizes their collection.
Lost: Saxophones near Ward-Meade Park
I was wrapping up after a small rehearsal near Ward-Meade Park in Topeka around 6:15 p.m. Friday when I realized my saxophones were missing from my gig bag. There are two saxophones, an alto and a tenor, in separate hard cases. The cases have initials MT on the mouthpieces and a small dent on the tenor bell. I am worried about these instruments because they are essential for my performances and hold a lot of memories.
