Gold ring with ruby and engraved inner band

I found this gold ring this afternoon around 3:15 pm near The Lantern Café on Main Street in The Thumb. It's a slim 14k yellow-gold band, about size 6.5, with a tiny bezel-set ruby that catches the light. The inside bears a small engraving that looks like 'ML', and there are a couple of light scratches along the outer edge from wear. If someone recognizes it, please get in touch—I'd love to see it back with its owner, especially if it’s a sentimental piece.
