Found: DVDs left behind at Curtis Hixon Park
I was strolling along Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa last Friday around 6:15 pm when I found a tote stuffed with DVDs. The cases range from a bright action flick to a moody indie, with sun-bleached covers and a few stickers peeling away. It felt like someone had just sat them down during a break, and I pictured the owner scanning the park, hoping someone would find them. Lost: Breeds in the Tampa Bay Area
Yesterday around 4:20 p.m., I was loading my car in the Westshore area of the Tampa Bay Area when my binder labeled Breeds slipped from the front seat and vanished between the cushions. It holds dog-breed profiles and a few handwritten notes for our rescue group. I walked the Westshore Plaza area, checked the parking lots, and even the bus stop near the stadium, but nothing turned up. It is not valuable moneywise, but it is full of practical reminders I use every day. I miss it and hope it is found somewhere close to home, maybe tucked under a car or left in a corner of the lot.
Lost collars near Tampa Riverwalk, Armature Works
On Friday around 1:45 p.m. at the Tampa Riverwalk near Armature Works, I realized my collars were gone. There are two: a black nylon collar with a tiny silver bell, and a blue reflective collar with a sturdy buckle. I must have dropped them while I paused to let my dog sniff the murals near the splash pad, then wandered toward the dock. My stomach tightens thinking they belong to my rescue dog and my cat, a small piece of daily life I can’t replace. If you found them, I’d be grateful to have them back at the Armature Works lobby.
