I was at the park by the Boot Hill Museum around 6:45 PM on Saturday when I realized my quilts were gone. They're large, cozy patchwork pieces—one with yellow and tan triangles, another with a muted blue star pattern, and a simple checkered one that my grandmother helped sew. I’d draped them over the back of a bench near the Wyatt Earp statue, right by the cottonwood trees and the duck pond. I’m anxious and hopeful they turn up; those quilts carry family stories and late-night warmth, and I’d love to bring them home.
