Yesterday around 3pm I realized my blue US passport was missing from the inner pocket of my jacket after leaving the Target parking lot behind the Waldorf Commons on Berry Road. The passport is a standard deep blue cover with the gold seal; the back cover has a faint coffee stain from my latte earlier, and there’s a tiny crease along the bottom edge from a tumble in my tote. It was in a slim black leather travel sleeve, which is a little scuffed on the corner. Inside the passport, the name page clearly shows the name 'Priya Patel'—that’s how I know it’s mine.
