I found a black-and-white dog this afternoon around 2:15pm wandering along the Stearns Wharf boardwalk by the Santa Barbara Harbor. It's a medium-sized mix, about 40 pounds, with a bright red bandana and a blue collar, and a small white heart-shaped patch on its chest. One ear tilts a bit when it listens, and the pup seemed friendly but a little anxious, so I stuck with it, offered water, and kept an eye out for a tag, but nothing readable showed up. I’d love to help reunite them with their family—the dog looked like they’re missing someone and I could tell it mattered. I lost my black pebbled leather wallet yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on State Street by Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara. It's a Michael Kors bi-fold with a copper-toned logo on the front and a bright red fabric lining that peeks out when you open it. Inside there are my driver's license, a couple of credit cards, and about $60 in cash; there's also a coffee ring stain on the back corner and a tiny photo of my dog Lola tucked in the ID window. This wallet has sentimental value to me because it was a gift from my grandmother, and I really need it back.
