Last Friday around 9:15 PM, my compact synthesizers disappeared from the back of the rental van after a quick set on Market Street. They are a pair of black modulars with a blue LED panel and a battered pedal board. I remember packing up near Balboa Park Organ Pavilion, the palm trees swaying as a cool breeze swept in from the Marina. The memory of the gear, its warm glow in the club lights, aches every time I think about it.
