Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Salt Lake City are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Salt Lake City in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost drums in Salt Lake City, Utah

After a short set downtown, I left my drum kit by the edge of City Creek Center around 6:40 PM and stepped away for a moment. When I came back, the drums were gone, taken with the pedestrian traffic before I could grab the sticks. They’re a matte-blue marching snare with a dented rim and a red strap. I’ve checked Liberty Park and walked the block around Temple Square, but nothing turned up. If you saw a blue drum case rolling through the area near downtown Salt Lake City, please keep an eye out—I still hold out hope I’ll see them again.

LOST microwaves near City Creek Center

I’m Mia Lawson. On Tuesday at 7:30 PM, I was in the communal kitchen of my apartment building near City Creek Center, off Main Street, when I realized two microwaves were missing from the shelf. I’d used them that morning for lunch and had left them on the counter, but when I checked later they were gone. They’re compact, white with black doors, and one has a small scratch on the top edge. I rely on them every day for quick meals after work, and losing them really stings—if you saw them or picked them up by mistake, please help me get them back.

Lost adapters near Temple Square

Hello, I’m Santiago Morales. I lost a set of travel adapters this morning around 8:22 a.m. near Temple Square in Salt Lake City, by the City Creek Center entrance on Main Street. I had them in a small black pouch inside my backpack after taking a quick photo near the Tabernacle. When I looked up, the crowd shifted and the pouch must have slipped from my pocket. These adapters are essential for my conference meetings, and I’d really appreciate someone finding them and keeping them safe until I can pick them up at the convention center. They’re the international type with blue accents.
