Lost board games in Pierre, SD

Yesterday around 4:45 PM I realized I lost my board games from the shelf at the Pierre Public Library's reading room. It is a mix of family favorites—the kind we bring to Sunday afternoons in Central SD. The box is a sturdy wooden case with a faded sticker; inside, you will find maps, dice, and a few pawns from various games. I am hoping someone found them and kept them safe, because these games are part of so many cherished memories.

Lost hat near the Capitol, Pierre.

On Friday, around 5:40 PM, I was walking from the Missouri River overlook toward the State Capitol in Pierre when the wind pulled my hat off. It's a charcoal gray knit with a small blue emblem on the front—a simple, well-worn piece I wear all winter. I retraced my steps along the Capitol sidewalk and down the steps, stopping by the granite railings where I paused to sip coffee. I must have set it on a bench or maybe the railing, because I can't find it now. It feels silly to admit, but that hat carries a lot of memories from our trip here.

Lost Breeds near Capitol, Pierre.

At about 8:15 a.m. this morning, I was walking along Sioux Avenue toward the South Dakota Capitol when I realized my binder labeled Breeds was missing from my bag. It’s a black binder with a red spine, full of notes on dog breeds and training tips. I last saw it near the Capitol steps by Riverfront Park, and the thought of someone else flipping through my notes makes me anxious. Those pages support a small rescue project I’m running, and I’d be grateful to have them back. I’m hoping someone finds this post and can help reunite me with it through the site.

Lost: Studs near the State Capitol, Pierre.

I’m Mia Collins. I lost a pair of small silver studs last Friday around 6:15 p.m. near the State Capitol steps in Pierre. They were a gift from my grandmother and mean a lot to me, so I’m holding onto hope they’ll be found. I remember stepping away to take a call at the sidewalk cafe by the capitol entrance and must have set them down on my jacket before hurrying off. If someone picked them up, I’d be grateful to get them back.

Lost ties by Capitol, Pierre

LOST: I was at the Capitol Building steps in Pierre around 9:15 a.m. today, tying a navy blue silk tie before a job interview, and somehow it slipped from my collar as I walked toward Main Street. It’s a simple thing, but it mattered to me for the day. The tie has a thin silver tie-pin and a small logo on the lining; it's not just any tie—it was a gift from my grandmother. If anyone found it, please think of it like a compass needle pointing back to my memories.

Lost hand tools near Capitol, Pierre

I was finishing a quick repair job on Friday around 5:45 p.m. in the Pierre Capitol area when I realized my hand tools were missing from the bed of my pickup. The toolbox held a hammer, a red screwdriver set, a few wrenches, and a tape measure—the things I rely on for everything from screen-door repairs to porch projects. I checked the sidewalk along Capitol Avenue, walked Riverside Park, and even asked a couple of passersby, but the tools never turned up. If someone happened to grab them for safekeeping, I would be deeply grateful to have them returned through the site.
