I took my dog for a walk along Palm Canyon Drive near the Palm Springs Art Museum around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, and somehow the two collars slipped off the leash as we crossed a crosswalk. The collars are distinctive: one is a black leather piece with a metal tag, the other a bright blue nylon strap.
