I found a small green budgie with a bright yellow head and blue cheek patches this afternoon around 3:15pm, perched on the railing at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk near HarborWalk Village. It wears a tiny metal leg band with 'A12' engraved on the left leg. The bird seems healthy and friendly, chirping when I spoke to it, but clearly lost and unsettled in the salty wind. I kept it in a covered tote to stay safe while I looked for its owner and checked nearby shops for a lost-bird sign, with no luck so far.
