I found a bundle of postcards this afternoon along the Ohio River edge by the Fort Henry Bridge in Wheeling, around 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday. They were tucked behind a planter near Center Market, still damp from a late rain shower. The handwriting on the backs told stories of weekend road trips and family visits to nearby towns in the Northern Panhandle. I felt a tug of responsibility, like I was meant to reunite them with someone who missed them dearly. I’ll keep them safe on my end, hoping the rightful owner sees this and knows they’re close to being found again.
