I lost my navy blue canvas tote bag yesterday around 3pm in front of the Coffee Loft on Front Street in Traverse City, Northern Michigan. It’s a medium-sized tote, about 14 by 12 inches, with tan leather handles and a copper zipper pull. The inside has a maroon lining and a small inner zip pocket that still has a few receipts and a folded photo. There’s a brass compass charm on the inner pocket and a lighthouse enamel pin on the outside pocket—nice, easy to spot if you know what to look for. It was a gift from my grandmother and means a lot to me; I really need it back.

I lost my Travel Adapters while walking along Front Street in downtown Traverse City around 3:45 PM on Saturday. They’re small black adapters, essential for charging my phone and keeping my GPS powered during this road trip through Northern Michigan. I keep replaying the moment I realized they weren’t in my bag, the smell of coffee from a nearby cafe and the chatter of the harbor boats still in my ears. While walking along the Clinch Park waterfront in Traverse City around 11:40 a.m. last Tuesday, I found a bundle of Photographs tucked under a park bench. They are worn at the edges, with captions in neat cursive, a mix of family trips to the lake and a high school graduation shot. My heart went soft picturing someone flipping through them and realizing a memory is missing. I tucked them in a zip bag I keep for found items and hoped the owner would recognize the faces.
