It happened around 7:15 a.m. today as I was leaving the Aberdeen Civic Center parking lot, near Main Street NE and 1st Ave. I checked the lot and sidewalks, retraced toward the river walk and Knox Park, but they’re gone. I feel anxious and hopeful someone found them and will turn them in here; these pins mean a lot to me and I’d love to see them back in my coat.

Lost hats near Aberdeen, Northeast SD

Hi, I’m Lila Peterson. I lost several hats while leaving the bus on Main Street in Aberdeen, Northeast SD, around 7:20 p.m. yesterday. The wind whipped the street and they blew off my tote bag in the crosswalk near the library on 2nd Ave NE. They were special keepsakes from different trips, including one from a family reunion, and I’m really hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe. I retraced steps along Main Street, the library district, and the little shops near City Hall, but I’m still hopeful. If anyone found them, I would be grateful for their return.

Lost passports in Northeast SD, South Dakota

I realized my passport went missing Thursday morning around 9:15 a.m. after finishing a quick stop at Main Street Coffee in Aberdeen, in northeast SD. I last used it to check in at a visa appointment, then rushed to a meeting, and I must have left it on the counter or in a folder. The passport is blue with wear on the cover, and the photo page looks intact but the binding shows a crease from travel. This is urgent because I’m traveling soon, and replacements can be tricky to arrange. I’m hoping someone found it in downtown Aberdeen, perhaps near the Brown County Courthouse or along 4th Avenue. I lost my blue reflective dog harness from the Ruffwear Front Range line yesterday around 3pm. It was last seen at the dog park near Main Street Park in Northeast SD, around the corner of Main Street and 7th Ave NE, close to the Northeast SD Public Library. The harness is medium, blue with black trim, and it has a lime-green paw-print tag with Mika's name and a tiny QR code, plus a neon reflective strip along the chest strap. It's special to me because it helps keep him safe during walks and it was a gift from a friend, so I’d really like to get it back. I lost my tan Fossil wallet yesterday around 3pm near the NE Plaza Starbucks on 4th Street NE in Northeast SD. It's a slim bi-fold in tan leather, with a blue interior and a small compass charm hanging from the zipper pull. I know it’s a little worn around the edges, and there’s red stitching along the outer seam. Inside are my driver's license, a few credit cards, and a tiny photo of my grandmother—it all matters to me, especially since it was a gift from her.
