Description
I lost my gray travel backpack yesterday around 3pm near the Walmart on S Buffalo Bill Ave in North Platte. It’s a medium-sized North Face daypack with a bright orange zipper pull on the main compartment and a small green fabric patch with a smiley face sewn near the side pocket. Inside I keep a well-worn travel journal, a grey scarf, and a compact digital camera; I’m really hoping it turns up because the journal has notes from my grandmother. The bag has a faded blue shoulder strap and a small dent on the lower corner, easy to spot if someone is looking for it.

How to safely get your item back

- Request a clear photo of the item from an angle you did not post.
- Do not pay any release, shipping, or storage fee.
- Do not share your full address until you have verified them.
Meet in a safe, public place
- Police stations, café entrances, transport hubs, and shop foyers all work.

- Avoid private homes, car parks at night, or isolated locations.
Bring someone with you
- Tell a friend or family member where you are meeting and when.
- Share your live location with them during the handoff.
- For high-value items, consider contacting your local police station for advice first.
Keep communication on lostandfound.io
