Lost Hats near Merced Mall
I was biking home from the Merced Farmers Market on Saturday around 4:15 PM when I realized I had lost my hats. I own two: a navy baseball cap with a small white logo, and a tan felt hat I wear when the sun is high. I had them clipped to my bike basket while I stopped to grab a coffee near the Merced County Courthouse steps, and I must have left them on a bench outside the Merced Mall. I'm heartbroken—they were gifts and they make the daily sun feel kinder. If anyone found them, please leave them at the mall's lost-and-found.
Found Wilson tennis racket with neon grip
I found a Wilson tennis racket lying near the bike racks outside the Merced Mall on G Street this afternoon around 2:30pm. It’s a mid-size racquet with a black frame and orange accents, and the grip is wrapped in a neon-yellow overgrip. There’s a small cat sticker on the throat and a tiny dent near the throat, but otherwise it’s in decent shape. I lost my black Anker PowerCore 10000 portable charger yesterday around 3pm near the UC Merced Library, behind the student bike racks. It’s a compact, matte black rectangle about the size of a lipstick case, with a bright orange sun-shaped sticker on the back and a small dent on the bottom edge. It still powers my phone, so it’s essential for long study days between classes. It has sentimental value because it was a gift from my sister last year. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate getting it back—thanks so much.
Blue plush dragon toy found near Target on G Street
I found a blue plush dragon toy this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind the Target on G Street in Merced. It’s about 12 inches tall, made of soft fleece, with a bright blue body, green belly, and rainbow wings, plus a red knit scarf. There’s a small white star patch on its left foot, and the squeaker still works when squeezed. It was tucked near the bike racks by the store entrance, a little dusty but otherwise in good shape. I know how much a toy can mean to a kid, so I’m hoping to help reunite it with its owner.
Gold ring with emerald centerpiece
I found a gold ring this afternoon around 3:45pm outside the Starbucks on Main Street in Merced. It's a slim 14k gold band with a small bezel-set emerald about the size of a pea. The inside of the band is engraved with 'L+R' and a tiny heart, and there are a couple of fine scratches along the edge from wear. I picked it up near the bike racks by the entrance; it looked recently dropped and caught the sun, glinting in my pocket as I walked by.
