I found a grey Osprey backpack this morning around 9:15am behind the Mendocino Hotel on Main Street in Mendocino County. It's a medium-size daypack in decent condition, with a lime-green rain cover tucked in the front pocket and a red seabird enamel pin on the zipper. Inside, there’s a spiral notebook, a reusable mug, and a faded highway map of Highway 1.
