Red knit Santa hat with white trim found near mall

I found a red knit Santa hat with white fluffy trim and a tiny silver jingle bell on the tip. It was sitting on a bench outside the food court near the South Plains Mall on Slide Road in Lubbock, this afternoon around 2:45pm. Inside there's a small stitched label with the initials 'JA' and a faint peppermint scent, so it's clearly someone’s personal item. The hat is in decent condition, a bit squished from being carried around, but otherwise fine.
