LOST item: holiday decorations. On Friday around 8:30 p.m., I was helping decorate for a small Christmas festival at Lake Charles Civic Center when a box of heirloom decorations disappeared from the curb by the main entrance. The box held bright glass ornaments, a burlap-wrapped string of lights, and a few sentimental pieces handed down from my grandmother. I’m heartbroken because they carry family memories and aren’t easily replaced. They’re probably somewhere near the Civic Center steps or along Pujo Street, and I’m hoping someone who found them kept them safe.
