I'm Ava Johnson, and I lost my shopping bags somewhere on the Kenai Peninsula. Friday evening, around 6:15 PM, I was loading groceries in the Soldotna Shopping Center parking lot when the wind picked up and the bags tumbled out of sight. One bag is black with a red logo, the other is blue with a stripe—both were full of groceries and a small reusable tote I treasure. I searched the nearby aisles and peered under cars, but the lot went quiet and the bags vanished. I'm hoping someone picked them up and set them aside, so I can grab them when I'm next in town.

I lost my tan leather Coach tote yesterday around 3pm near the Safeway on the Sterling Highway in Soldotna. It's a medium-sized handbag, about 12 inches wide, with a lavender satin lining and a brass zipper pull. There is a small pinecone-shaped keychain clipped to the inside zipper pocket and a visible scratch on the bottom corner. Inside I kept my driver's license, a blue notebook, and a photo of my grandmother—it's really sentimental. The bag is in good condition overall, but I am worried someone might have picked it up.
