I was on a quick morning stroll in Joplin, MO when I spotted a toolbox lying on the curb behind the Home Depot on Main Street around 9:45 a.m. It’s a plain red metal box with a dented corner and a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, and a tape measure tucked inside. There’s a faded label with the initials J.P. on the lid. I picked it up and brought it here because it seems like the tools belong to someone who was in the middle of a project near the Route 66 area, and I hope they turn up here.
