I was walking behind the Imperial County Fairgrounds in El Centro around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when I found two rabbits wandering near a chain-link fence by the loading dock. They were calm, a little dusty from the day in the sun, and one wore a blue collar with no tag. I checked for chips and looked for owners, but I could tell they were someone’s pets, perhaps frightened. I brought them to a safe spot and kept them warm with a blanket until I could post this. Hoping to reunite them with their family.
