Lost paperback book 'The Endless Sky' with personal notes, left at a scenic overlook in the High Rockies.
I lost my favorite book, 'The Endless Sky', while hiking in the High Rockies last weekend. I noticed it was missing when I was taking a break at one of the scenic overlooks. It's a paperback with a few pages dog-eared, and it contains some personal notes I've written in the margins. I'm really hoping to get it back, as it's a special gift from my grandmother.
Blue Penguin Classics hardcover found near Mountain View Café
I found a blue Penguin Classics hardcover this afternoon around 4pm outside Mountain View Café on Pine Street in High Rockies. It's a well-loved copy, the cover shows a coffee stain and the spine is a bit worn, with dog-eared page 128 peeking out. Inside the front cover there's a small ex libris stamp that reads 'A. Fletcher' and a pencil note with the date 'Nov 2019'—looks like a cherished gift or a long-time favorite. I'd love to reunite this with its owner, so if you recognize these details, drop me a line and we can figure out a meetup near the Central Park trailhead.
Blue hardcover atlas with mountain photo
I lost my blue hardcover atlas, a National Geographic High Rockies edition, yesterday around 3pm near the High Rockies Public Library on Pine Street, outside the bike racks by the entrance. The cover shows snow-capped peaks and a small red edition sticker; the spine is cracked and the corners are worn from travel. Inside the front cover I pressed a pine needle from a hike and left a yellow sticky note with my initials 'AY' on it; there’s a dog-eared page around 210 and a tiny pencil mark on page 138. This atlas was a gift from my grandmother who loved mountains, and it's irreplaceable for my fieldwork, so I really need it back. If you found it, I’d be grateful to recover it—I'll be at Summit View Cafe or the library front desk in the evenings this week.
