I lost my blue paperback copy of The Alchemist, a 1993 edition, this afternoon around 3pm near the Hattiesburg Public Library on Main Street. It's a well-loved book with a creased spine, a coffee stain on the back cover, and a bright yellow sticky note tucked inside that reads 'For future journeys' in my handwriting. There's a small red coffee ring on the edge of page 112, and a tiny dog-ear on page 78. It was a gift from my grandmother, so it's sentimental to me — I really need it back.

Found a navy tote bag with brass zipper this afternoon around 2:15pm behind the Main Street library in Hattiesburg, near the little coffee kiosk. It's a medium-sized tote with sturdy tan leather handles and a small blue enamel pin on the zipper pull, plus a fox-embossed inner tag that peeks out when you peek inside. Inside I saw a spiral notebook, a folded photo of a dog, and a receipt from a local bookstore dated last week. I know this bag probably means a lot to its owner, so if this is yours, tell me where you’d like to meet around the library area and I’ll head out to return it soon.
Found: Breeds in Hattiesburg, MS
Early this morning around 10:05 AM, I FOUND an item labeled Breeds on a bench near Circle Park in downtown Hattiesburg. It looked like a small booklet or a stack of cards about different dog breeds, bound with a red string and weathered from sun. There was no one nearby, so I left it where it could be seen and walked on. I’m sharing this here hoping the owner will see it and come to claim their Breeds sometime soon.
