I was walking along Main Street in Nevada City, Gold Country, around 3:20 p.m. Sunday when I found a bundle of shopping bags resting against a lamppost. Inside were a few grocery receipts, a coupon booklet, and a tote with a boutique logo. There was no name tag, so I posted this hoping the owner will see it and recognize the items. I lost equipment for various sports—rackets, a softball glove, and a water bottle—from the bench outside the Coloma Recreation Center near Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park around 9:30 a.m. today. The area was busy with other players and hikers, and now I feel anxious about getting back to practice.
