Small wooden keepsake box with brass latch
I lost a small wooden keepsake box yesterday around 3pm—it's in the Other Miscellaneous Items category. It’s about 6 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 2 inches tall, dark walnut with a brass latch that sticks a bit when you close it. The inside is lined with red velvet, and there’s a faded photo of my grandmother and a tiny brass compass keychain attached to the lid. There are two tiny pencil marks on the bottom where I wrote a note long ago, those marks are unique identifying features. It has huge sentimental value—it was a gift from my grandmother and I really need it back. I last had it near the Save Mart on Blackstone Ave in Fresno, possibly between the grocery entrance and the bike racks.

I found a paperback mystery with an orange spine this afternoon around 3:15pm behind the Fresno Main Library, near the L Street entrance where the bike racks sit. It's about 320 pages, slightly creased from travel, and there's a bright blue bookmark sticking out. On the back cover is a tiny coffee stain and a handwritten note that says 'M. Chen' along with a small sticker from a local bookstore. I figured someone might be missing it and would really appreciate getting it back. I was grabbing a quick coffee around 2:45 PM on Tuesday, walking along Van Ness Avenue in the Tower District, when I realized my student ID was missing from my pocket. I retraced my steps from Fresno City College to the shops on Fulton Street, checking benches and bike racks, but the card didn’t turn up. That ID is essential for library access and campus services, so I felt a knot of worry all afternoon. I’m posting here in case a finder recognizes it and returns it through the site.
