I lost my left contact lens yesterday around 3pm. I was sitting on a bench by Fort Lauderdale Beach near the Lifeguard Tower at A1A and Las Olas after a quick stroll when it apparently slipped out. The lens is clear with a faint blue tint in bright light, and it's the left-eye lens from my Acuvue Oasys set; it also has a tiny nick on the outer edge from a rough cleaning last week. I really need it back—wearing just one lens throws off my vision and my whole day. I lost my 14k gold ring with a tiny emerald set in a bezel, size 6, and there's a subtle scratch on the inner rim. Inside, it’s engraved with 'MP' and I last had it yesterday around 3pm while walking along Las Olas Boulevard near the Stranahan House in Fort Lauderdale. He's about 11 pounds with short fur, bright green eyes, and a pink nose; there's a tiny white patch on his chest. He wears a light blue collar with a small silver bell, and there's a faint scar on his right hind leg. He's super friendly but tends to hide when he’s scared, which makes finding him tricky. Lost a set of keys while out running along A1A from Birch State Park (The Grove Cafe) to Lauderdale by the Sea (the public restrooms). And yes, I have retraced my steps, twice:( The key ring had on it 2 keys, 1 FOB, and a silver running shoe charm. The keys and FOB are certainly replaceable, but the silver 'running shoe charm' is a memento and a keepsake (it's a gift from over 20 years ago).

I lost my gold-tone necklace with a turquoise heart pendant yesterday around 3pm in Fort Lauderdale. Leopard gecko found near Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale
I found a leopard gecko this afternoon around 3:15pm wandering along the sidewalk near the Riverwalk on Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, just outside the Stranahan House, and it’s about 6 inches long from head to tail. It’s sandy yellow with irregular brown spots, and its tail looks a little plump, with a tiny orange spot on its right shoulder and a faint black speck at the base of its tail. It was crawling between a bike rack and a storefront, clearly friendly but a bit jumpy. I scooped it into a small plastic tote with air holes to keep it safe while I search for the owner. Found a black wireless microphone kit this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind the Publix on Sunrise Blvd near NE 14th Ave in Fort Lauderdale. It's a compact Shure-style system: handheld mic and a small belt-pack transmitter, all in a slightly scuffed black zipper case. The case has a red sticker with the initials 'JL' and a small dent on the bottom corner. It looks like it survived a rain shower, but the gear seems intact and it powered on when I checked it with a spare battery.
