Pocket watches found near Dickson Street, Fayetteville.
While wandering along Dickson Street yesterday around 11:20 a.m., I spotted a pair of pocket watches left on a wooden bench behind the Fayetteville Town Center. One watch had a gold case with a delicate engraving that read 'J. C. Miller 1904,' the other was a smaller silver piece with a chipped crystal. I can imagine the owner pausing to check the time between classes or a stroll downtown, and I’m glad to help bring them back. I wrapped them in a cloth I found nearby to keep them safe and left them in a quiet spot by the fountain near the square, in case someone returns looking here.
