Description
I left a small rehearsal room in Harpers Ferry around 5:50 p.m. and walked toward the riverfront along Shenandoah Street. My two violins were in their cases, resting on a stand by the door, and I must have left them on a bench near the river overlook when I stepped outside for air. A breeze and a crowd of people swirled through the town, and when I returned they were gone. Those violins carry a lifetime of music and my grandfather's memory, and I’m desperate to have them back.
